Information on the results of examinations for admission to higher education institutions in the 2020-2021 academic year

The results of the tests conducted by State Test Center for the 2020-2021 academic year were announced on September 25, 2020 at 15:00.

This year, 1,484,463 applicants (1,066,926 in 2019) applied for higher education.

At the same time, the competition for one place was 10.6 applicants (in 2019 - 10.3).

1,240,614 applicants (95.1%) took part in the testing process held on September 2-13, 2020.

According to the results of the test, a total of 140,068 applicants were admitted to the bachelor's degree of higher education institutions of the republic (37,718 more than last year's 102,350):

  • on the basis of state grants - 28,173 applicants (20.1%) (10,043 more than in 18,130 in 2019);
  • on a paid-tuition basis - 111,895 (79.9%) (27,675 more than the 84,220 applicants in 2019).

According to the results of the contest:

  • average passing score on the basis of a state grant - 133.3 points;
  • average passing score on a paid-contract basis - 110.6 points.

The minimum passing score for higher education institutions of the republic on the basis of state grants is set at 68.0 points, the minimum passing score on the basis of a paid-contract is set at 56.7 points.

Also, in order to create opportunities for young people to study, applicants who are not recommended on a basic paid-contract basis, but scored 56.7 points and above, will have the opportunity to study on a differentiated paid-contract basis (in 2019, 32 948 applicants took this opportunity).

This category of applicants can apply to higher education institutions from September 26, 2020.

If the test results do not satisfy the applicants, the Appellate Commission of State Test Center will start to work on September 28, 2020.
