On October 21, 1989, the Law "On the State Language" was adopted in our country to establish the legal basis of the state language, according to which the Uzbek language was given the status of the state language.

On April 10, 2020, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law "On the celebration of the Day of the Uzbek language." According to the law, October 21 is the holiday of the Uzbek language.
