Some telegram channels are reporting that university entrance exams may be canceled in Uzbekistan.

We would like to inform you that the State Test Center has prepared a draft resolution in 2020. It is entitled "On measures to unify the final state certification of graduates of secondary schools and the entrance exams to higher education institutions and the introduction of a single exam."

The draft resolution provides for a pilot test of graduates of general education institutions in the region, initially determined by the State Commission as a pilot. Then, the final state certification of all secondary school graduates and entrance exams to higher education institutions will be unified and a single test can be introduced.

The draft resolution also stipulates that graduates of educational institutions in previous years must take tests in subjects and compulsory subjects corresponding to the bachelor's degree in a timely manner.

In other words, the unification of exams does not mean the complete abolition of university entrance exams, but graduates of secondary schools will pass the final state certification through a single test instead of 2 exams (final state certification and university entrance exams), it means that with the result of this test you will have access to universities.
